On August 3 2017, Pandora sent a handful of talented artists to the west coast to perform in a nation wide company showcase.
Among these chosen was none other than our very own Jerason Dean.
The Pandora team members behind the event had each region nominate artists from their local office for the shows roster and then followed up with an email putting the nominees to a vote.
Jerason was one of four sent from the company’s central region.
“I had pretty much written off the event because the others listed were incredibly talented. I thought the chances of getting a slot in the show were very slim,” said Jerason.
But even with his doubts in hand, he hit the west coast with 20+ other performers.
The event took place at the UC Theater in Berkley, CA, a venue that draws a big crowd and can hold a capacity of 1,400.
Making this one of Jerason’s largest events.
Among the other’s appearing was vocalist Arsheen Ahmad, the minneapolis based group Lady Lark, and Diego Rodriguez.
Jerason stuck to his roots performing the Sinatra standard As Time Goes By bringing his old-school styling to the showcase.
“The whole event was intimidating because not only was I one of the few solo artists but I was the only singer in my genre,” said Jerason.
Jerason went on to say that the whole night was an incredible experience and that he only hopes he’s asked back next year.
A full length video of the performance is set to release in mid December.
